A Holiday, New Job and a Night in A&E!

Well what a month September has been!

For the first two weeks I spent it sunning it up in Mexico with my boyfriend. We went to Rivera May and did a tone of stuff. The first Excursion we did was a walk along the beach, letting baby sea turtles into the sea and searching for sea turtles who would be looking for a place alongside the beach to lay their eggs. Assailed into a cenote (an underground river), looking at ancient Mexican Mayan ruins, swimming with whale sharks (they are huuuge), swimming with dolphins, seeing the real Mexico in a Mayan village and getting the chance to meet the locals! It was the best holiday ever, and will have photos to follow soon (still need to sort through them).

Then, when I got back off holiday I have been working at the nursing home to tie me over till I get a job in a nursery) then I gets a phone call one day inviting me for a trial. My trial starts on Wednesday with the possibility of starting work the next day :)

Now for that A&E trip.... I went out on Saturday for a couple of drinks to celebrate getting the trial, it was the first time I had worn heels in months (bearing in mind I had only had three pints so I wasn't even drunk) went outside and missed the step! Next thing I knew I'd fell on the floor in agony. Anyway, cut a long story short, I had to get carried out of the pub by two guys and my granddad took me through to A&E. During this time I was more worried about if I had to get my Topshop jeans cut off but luckily I didn't haha! Had an x-ray and thankfully no broken bone just a severe sprain. But that is just me all over, I am the clumsiest person in the world!

So yeah.. what a month September has been!

Chow for now

Holiday Essentials, Part Two: Hand Luggage/ Carry-on Essentials

Well hello there! Well it is currently 17:23 and I am sat in my pj's since doing my ALS Icebucket challenge (check it out on my Instagram), and I thought why not do the part two whilst watching Come Dine With Me :)

The most important thing to start off with I think which would make sense is which bag I am taking with me.
The Bag
This bag I bought of ebay and can be used as a weekend bag or as hand luggage, which is kinda what I need! It is obviously spotty outside and inside and has a long strap (which you can see) and smaller straps. So I can either carry it on my shoulders or with my arms. And now let's see what delights I am taking to Mexico with me :)

Btw....I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE PLANE JOURNEY!

Plastic Make-up Bag
I just got this bag from Superdrug (I think) as I needed it for my holiday last year and it fits in all my little beauty nik-nacs which I need to take onto the plane with me.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream
As I am travelling on a long-haul flight, your skin can get really dried out and from reading other blogs this cream has been highly recommended. Its quite an oily cream but smells lovely (don't know how to describe the smell).

Soap and Glory Hand Food Hydrating Hand Cream and Hand Cleansing Gel
Well now no one wants germs on their hand , so before eating instead of getting up all the time to go and wash my hands, I'll go with an easier and quicker option! Its smells lush and it has grapefruit in it (ooooooh). And to top my hands off, you can't go wrong with the hand cream which leaves your hands smelly amazing and silky soft!

Vaseline, Refreshing Wipes, Deodorant and Contraception
Can't really think of that much to see about these three apart the obvious. Keeping lips from drying out, keeping my self refreshed and clean with the wipes and deodorant and of course, got to take the pill!

Mini Satchel: I got this satchel a couple of months ago for work, but thought I would use this to keep the essential things in. Such as: purse, iPhone, Passport (don't have a photo of this as it at my boyfriends house).

iPad: I'll be using my passport for a multiple of things, such as: listening to music, watch films, take photos and to read books.

Earplugs: I got these for a couple of quid off amazon, just to block out noise if I want to go to sleep.

Haibrush and hair bobbles: To brush hair and tie up hair....I think ;)

Sunglasses:  These are just from Primark and cost a couple of quid. I'll probably end up buying some fake designer ones whilst I'm in Mexico

And that's all I have so far, I'll buy more liittle bits and pieces whilst in the airport :)

Holiday Essentials, Part One: Beauty

Next week I am off on my jolly hols to Mexicoo for 2 weeks! So, I thought, why not share what I will be taking with me cause I know myself, I have searched the internet on other blog post and on YouTube as to what to take with me..... I have decided to do a two part series all about holiday essentials; which will consist of beauty essentials (what will be going into my suitcase) and make-up (which will be going into my hand luggage as I am going on a long-haul flight, but will be pretty basic) and the second part will be my carry on essentials... I hope you enjoy :)

TRESemmé Freeze Hold Hairspray: I love this hairspray no matter where I am going, in the 250ml bottle this is the right size to fit in my case. As this hairspray is so long lasting it will be perfect for the evening.

Simple Kind To Skin Refreshing Facial Wash Gel 50ml: I am wanting to try and keep things simple with skin care (no pun intended) and you can never go wrong with Simple products

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor 75ml: Another brand I love, the small of Aussie is amazing! As I am going away for 2 weeks I thought it would be a good idea to take a conditioning treatment with me. With the heat of the sun I don't want the sun drying out my hair so every other day I'll apply this after washing my hair.

Original Source Tea Tree And Lemon Shower Gel 250ml: The ultimate refreshing shower gel on this plant..in my opinion..that's all I can say about this shower gel.

Garnier Ultimate Blends Colour Illuminator Shampoo and Conditioner: I haven't actually used this shampoo and conditioner, but I have used the coconut one before and I loved it With recently just having my hair dyed I want to maintain my hair colour, plus with the offer in Boots at 2 for £3, it's a bargain I couldn't refuse!

Vaseline Aloe Fresh Anti-Perspirant Deodorant: Well I can't be smelling of sweat now can I?

Malibu Dry Oil Spray SPF 10: This is a very low SPF, but I want to tan! I will be buying some more sun lotion at a higher level though at the airport.

Charles Worthington Volume and Bounce Body Booster Mousse: My hair is natural curly and I first used this product when I went to Egypt last year and I love it cause it gives y hair a lovely intact curl and a lovely natural bounce.

In the travel bottles are just my cleanser and toner which are in the previous blog :)
No7 Body Shimmer After sun: This is another product which I used last year in Egypt, it smells lush, leaves your skin lovely and soft and to top it off it gives your tan a nice shimmer :)

I am keeping my make-up very, very simple. I really don't see the point in putting a whole face of make up on when it will probally just sweat off in the evening and I will want to be showing off my tan as much of possible. Obiviously I just have to have the Benefit they're Real Mascara and Gel Push-Up Eye Liner as these are my holy-grails of mascara and eye-liner (I wouldn't use anything else...ever!) Maybeline Brow Drama just to tidy up the brows a little bit, Mac Studio Fix Power, another one of my holy-grail make-up products, Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette I haven't got the other two Naked palettes but this is just so, words can't even describe how much I love this palette the colours are just so divine, even better than chocolate!! and the final product is the No7 Perfectly Bronzed Mosaic Bronzer, which I will double up as a blush (unless I buy something in the airport I the make-up bit, I can't remember the proper name)... It has just come to me, that these make-up items are pretty much all my holy-grail and go to make-up items ;).

Well my lovelies, that is the end of Part one, See you soon in a couple of days

My Night Time Skin Care Routine

Firstly, I don't tend to do this routine every single night as a couple of the products are to be used once a week or every other day. So, I would usually do this full routine if I have had a full day of wearing make-up, which doesn't tend to be allot because when I am at work I won't wear make-up.

Before going into the bath I would apply the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water  with a couple of cotton pads. I LOVE this product, after using this product, I will never go back to using make-up wipes to remove my make-up! I can't think of any cons about this product( apart from when removing eye make-up, not to put to much product onto your eye as it will get into your eyes and stink a little but that's just me being careless). It genuinely is just a lovely product, plus at only £4.99 (it is on offer sometimes) you can't go wrong! Once I am in the bath I will wash my face with Neutrogena Visibly Clear: pore & shine daily scrub, I have only used this product a few times so I can't really comment on what I think of it yet as I am still to make a judgement of it, but it does smell nice! I would then use the Soap and Glory NO CLOGS ALLOWED: Super self heating deep pore detox mask. Now, when i first tryed this product i didn't like it as I came out in some sort of rash on my forehead. However, after a second time of using it I had no problems at all. Despite this I am not amazed by it but after using it my skin does feel nice and soft. Once getting out of the bath I then apply Superdrugs own brand Deep Action Pore Cleansing Pads. This little beauties have an exfloiating side which you use first then a smooth side which you use second. Since i purchased these I have noticed a significant difference in my skin, I hardly get break outs of proper spots (I usually just get pimples now and then) even when its that 'time of the month' I don't realy get any spots...whether I'm just fortunate with not getting really spotty skin I don't know!  Next, Nivea Daily Essentials Sensitive Cleansing Milk, which i will apply with my fingertips and then wipe off with a cotton pad, This cleanser just leaves the skin feeling so soft and hydrated. I will then tone my face with Simple Kind to Skin Pore Minimising Toning Cleanser, a lovely good to the skin product like all of Simple's products and leaves my skin feeling nice and refreshed. Finally to moisturise my eyes I use the Body Shop Elderflower Unperfumed Eye Gel under my eyes as I have bags :( and then for my face and neck I apply Nivea Daily Essentials Rich Regenerating Night Cream.

If it is just a 'normal' night a skip the Soap and Glory detox mask and the Pore cleansing wipes. And that is my night time skin routine :)

First blog post...eek!

So after much thinking and consideration, I have finally come around to starting my blog! As i finished uni in May, I have been working as a care assistant in a nursing home (not what I am wanting to do for a career but still love it), and apart from working, seeing friends and spending time with my boyfriend, what other way to spend my spare time,  I thought, start a blog! Totally obsessed with all things beauty and a massive collection of nail varnishes, it's time I shared my obsession with others :)!.....So here goes :-)
